From the latest report that most of the Mumbaikars has been experiencing water shortage because of less rainfall in the summer however they have seeking assistance to what they called “Water Diviner”
According to the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai and their recorded data, wishes for private bore well construction to fix the water shortage have more than doubled since January this year compared to last year. There are now over 188 registered bore wells in Mumbai with applications out for nearly 500 more.
Mumbai-based water diviner and geologist Amar Joshi stated that since country has been experienced of water shortage, it happened to be affected the business industry. He added that people hire him for the reason that they believe he has a paranormal capability or psychics to spot an underground source of water. Mr. Joshi said he has located water for about 10,000 clients in Mumbai and neighbouring metropolitan areas in the last 25 years. The slum dwellers, politicians, residential societies and companies like Godrej, Hindustan Lever and Air India are some of his clients, he charged them for about from $45 to $55 to locate water on a small plot of land.
Mr. Joshi generally uses a scientific device to come across for water which requires him to put a probe into the soil. However when the ground is covered with cement, he reverts to a traditional method of water divination which came from the rural of India.
